MICR’s Rugby Field Grand Opening is just TWO WEEKS AWAY 🎉
The community day celebration will take place from 12:00-3:30 pm with lots of fun for people of all ages: there will be a bouncy house, touch rugby, face painting, food trucks, rugby games, and live music to enjoy ⭐️ you don’t want to miss it!

DATA DIVE: In our end-of-year survey this year, 98% of players that responded agreed that rugby gave them a community 💫 MICR is about a lot , and it shows. What does the MICR community mean to you?

With your support, we did more than meet our goal for Alumni Support - we smashed it! 💥 With a generous $10k match, over $21,000 will go to MICR alumni as they navigate higher education.

This kind of support is absolutely critical for low-income, diverse, and first-generation college students like those we serve. Youth from under-resourced backgrounds often don’t get the tools they need to navigate rigorous academic expectations, financial barriers, and personal overwhelm. MICR alumni have a shoulder to lean on with all these challenges and more through 1-on-1 mentoring and stipends to help them afford school and the cost of day to day life.

MICR was honored to be invited to table in the Civic Engagement Zone at the National Civil Rights Museum’s Grand Opening for the Legacy Building in May!

We are so grateful to be working alongside organizations like , who are constantly and consistently working to make Memphis an even better home for its people. Events like this one inspire us to continue for students across the city ⭐️

College can be overwhelming. For many students, it means a new environment, new expectations, and the pressure of figuring everything out on their own, often without anyone at home who has been through it before. Too many students are left to navigate that storm alone. ⛈️

At MICR, they don’t have to. Through our Alumni Support Program, students have someone to call, someone who checks in, listens, and helps them keep going when things get hard. One student shared that their mentor was “kind of like a mom, making sure I was okay,” and that kind of support matters more than people realize. Because success in college isn’t just about academics, it’s about having the support to stay.
