Why do you follow Jesus?

This Sunday’s message challenged us to examine the motives behind our faith. Do we follow Jesus because of what He can do for us, or because of who He is?

Following Jesus is more than seeking blessings—it’s about surrender, obedience, and a relationship that remains steadfast in every season.

CREA UNA ATMÓSFERA EN EL DESIERTO

El mensaje de este pasado domingo continuó nuestro recorrido por el desierto, donde Dios no está ausente, sino obrando con propósito. Como hemos estado aprendiendo, algunos desiertos son lugares a los que Dios nos lleva para refinarnos, enseñarnos dependencia y formarnos.

Pero el mensaje también nos confrontó con una pregunta importante: ¿qué pasa cuando no es Dios quien te lleva al desierto, sino tú mismo quien te conduce a un desierto al que Él nunca te llamó? ¿Qué haces cuando tus decisiones, distracciones o desobediencia te llevan a un lugar seco al que no estabas destinado a entrar?

En ambos tipos de desierto, el llamado sigue siendo el mismo: crear una atmósfera donde Dios aún pueda moverse. No permitas que la sequedad silencie tu adoración, tu fe o tu obediencia. Incluso en temporadas de desierto inesperadas, Dios sigue presente, sigue hablando y sigue siendo capaz de traer vida donde no hay.

CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE IN THE DESERT

This past Sunday’s message continued our journey through the desert; where God is not absent, but at work with purpose. As we’ve been learning, some deserts are places God leads us into for refining, dependence, and formation.

But the message also challenged us with an important question: what happens when it is not God who leads you into the desert, but you who lead yourself into a desert He never called you to? What do you do when your choices, distractions, or disobedience bring you into a dry place you were never meant to enter?

In both kinds of deserts, the call remains the same: create an atmosphere where God can still move. Do not let the dryness silence your worship, your faith, or your obedience. Even in unexpected wilderness seasons, God is still present, still speaking, and still able to bring life where there is none.

FIESTA EN EL DESIERTO

La casa de Faraón era un lugar de esclavitud, pero el desierto se convirtió en un lugar de la fidelidad de Dios.

Aun en medio de la incomodidad, Dios proveyó maná diario, nube de día, fuego de noche, y ropa y calzado que duraron 40 años.

Si Él sostuvo a Su pueblo en el desierto, también nos sostendrá en nuestra temporada de desierto. No nos faltará nada porque Dios siempre provee. Y por eso, aun en el desierto, podemos seguir adorando, danzando y celebrando la fidelidad de Dios.

CELEBRATIONS IN THE DESERT

Pharaoh’s house was a place of bo***ge, but the desert became a place of God’s faithfulness.

Even in the discomfort, God provided daily manna, a cloud by day, fire by night, and clothing and shoes that lasted 40 years.

If He sustained His people in the wilderness, He will sustain us in our desert season too. We shall lack nothing because God always provides. And that is why, even in the desert, we can still worship, dance, and celebrate God’s faithfulness.

This past Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day. We honored them with this beautiful floral display. We remind them all of the message from Sunday, God will cause you to flourish in every season of your lives. It doesn’t matter how dry or hot your valley is, continue surrendering unto him. The moment that we change our posture to one of gratitude, we give access to God to fill our valleys. 💐

El Pastor predicó bajo el tema, “Certificado de Deuda,” enseñando que no importa de qué deuda el enemigo quiera acusarnos, estamos libres de deuda por el precio que Jesús pagó en la cruz.

Jesús ya pagó el precio completo. Nuestros pecados, nuestra vergüenza, nuestro pasado y toda acusación fueron clavados en la cruz. No tenemos que seguir pagando por algo que ya fue pagado.

El enemigo puede intentar recordarnos nuestro pasado, y las personas pueden tratar de definirnos por errores pasados, pero en Cristo nuestra deuda ha sido cancelada, y somos llamados a caminar en libertad, confianza y victoria.

Deja de pagar por algo que ya fue pagado.

This past Sunday’s message was a powerful reminder of the freedom we have in Christ.

Pastor preached on the topic, “Certificate of Debt,” teaching that no matter what debt the enemy tries to accuse us of, we are debt-free because of the price Jesus paid on the cross.

Jesus has already paid the full price. Our sins, our shame, our past, and every accusation have been nailed to the cross. We don’t have to keep paying for what has already been paid for.

The enemy may try to remind us of our past, and people may try to define us by old mistakes—but in Christ, our debt has been canceled, and we are called to walk in freedom, confidence, and victory.

Stop paying for something that has already been paid for.
