**Together, We Can Light the Night!**

This Saturday, October 17th, Team Ear Works Audiology is proudly participating in Blood Cancer United Light The Night at Eisenhower Park!

We're coming together to honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand alongside the individuals and families affected by leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers.

At Ear Works Audiology, caring for people goes beyond hearing health. We're proud to support a cause that brings hope, raises awareness, and helps fund lifesaving research and patient support. ❤️

We would love your support!

Real life isn't quiet or predictable. Conversations shift, voices overlap, and the listening environment can change in an instant.

Signia's Multi-adaptive Xperience (Signia MaX) uses Acoustic Intelligence™ to analyze speech, voices, acoustic scenes and noise in real time, adapting as the environment changes.

Four adaptive technologies work together to help support speech understanding in the places where conversations actually happen — from quieter moments to busy, noisy environments.

Live loud. Live bold. Live noisy.

🍂🌡️ LONG ISLAND'S 10-DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK: A WARM-UP BEFORE A FALL CHILL! 🥶
Posted: 10/9/2026 - Noon

If you're enjoying these comfortable autumn temperatures, we've got some good news! Long Island will experience a nice stretch of mild weather over the next several days before a noticeable cooldown arrives later next week!

🌤️ THIS WEEKEND: Saturday looks comfortable, with highs around 67 degrees, right on target for this time of year! Sunday turns slightly cooler, with temperatures reaching the middle 60s as clouds thicken and rain moves into our region.

🌡️ EARLY NEXT WEEK: Temperatures rebound nicely on Monday, climbing to around 68 degrees before we enjoy our warmest stretch of the forecast! Tuesday looks especially pleasant, with highs reaching 71 degrees, followed by another mild day Wednesday near 70 degrees. That's a few degrees above our seasonal average!

🍁 LATE NEXT WEEK: By Thursday and Friday, temperatures begin trending downward, with highs dropping into the middle to upper 60s. We'll start to notice that familiar autumn chill returning as we head toward the following weekend.

🥶 NEXT WEEKEND & BEYOND: Here comes the cooler air! By Sunday, October 18th, afternoon highs may struggle to reach 60 degrees, with temperatures topping out around 58 degrees! Highs near 60 degrees are then expected Monday and Tuesday, October 19th and 20th. -Glen

Fresh Start Friday: Hearing Loss Isn't Always Obvious

Hearing loss doesn't always mean struggling to hear every sound.

Sometimes it's missing parts of conversations, having more difficulty in groups, turning the TV up a little louder, or finding noisy environments increasingly exhausting.

Because hearing changes can happen gradually, they're easy to overlook. A baseline hearing evaluation can help you understand where your hearing stands today.

Audiologists don’t just evaluate hearing. We also evaluate and manage certain balance and dizziness concerns.

It’s one more reason why audiology is an important part of your healthcare team.

There’s nothing better than hearing directly from the people we have the privilege of caring for.

Thank you to our patients who take the time to share their experiences with Ear Works. Your words mean so much to our entire team.

So, what exactly does an audiologist do?

We do much more than hearing tests. Audiologists evaluate hearing and balance, help identify the cause and degree of hearing concerns, and develop individualized plans for managing hearing and communication needs.

And hearing devices are only one part of hearing healthcare. Sometimes the best plan includes communication strategies, assistive technology, or working with other members of your healthcare team.

It all starts with understanding what’s going on with your hearing.
