HOOTIE HUSTLE UPDATE!

WE DID IT! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our families, friends, and students, we have officially EXCEEDED our $20,000 fundraising goal! 🙌

We are so grateful for everyone who ran, walked, cheered, shared, donated, and helped make the Hootie Hustle such a success. Your support means so much to our school community!

Because of YOU, we’ll be able to continue providing the things that help our school flourish, including:

🎉 Family events that bring our school community together
💙 Staff appreciation to celebrate the amazing people who support our students every day
📚 Classroom grants that provide additional resources and opportunities for our students

And we're not quite finished yet! 😉

💻 The FunRun101 website will continue accepting donations through Thursday, October 8th.

And of course… we have some school-wide rewards coming on Thursday, October 15! 👀

😀 Pajama Day!

THANK YOU, Hootie Hustle families!

And special thanks to DJ JB and Amanda Solem for MCing the event.

Your generosity, school spirit, and support continue to make our school community such a special place.

The Horizon SCO has created an Amazon Wishlist!

We will continuously update the list as the year goes on in order to help with school wide family events and staff appreciation days.

Many families at Horizon Elementary are taking The Wait Until 8th pledge!

“By signing the online pledge, you promise not to give your child a smartphone until at least the end of 8th grade as long as at least 10 families total from your child’s grade and school pledge. Once 10 families have pledged to delay the smartphone, you will be notified that the pledge is active!”

Wait Until 8th The Wait Until 8th pledge empowers parents to rally together to delay giving children a smartphone until the end of 8th grade.
