Please be advised that the SWRTA offices will be closed and all services will be suspended on the following days in observance of the holiday season:

Additionally, SWRTA will operate on a reduced schedule on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The following routes will not operate on those days:

Route 40 | North Main | 5:00pm
Route 44 | Sumter SmartRide | 2:45pm
Route 52 | 521 Express | 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm
Route 80 | Voc Rehab | 4:10pm
Route 90 | Broad Street | 4:10pm and 5:10pm

We will operate on regular schedule on December 26th and January 2nd.

We encourage you to plan ahead and make alternative travel arrangements as needed.

As of 9:00 a.m., we are running as scheduled.

Due to the conditions of the roads, we may experience some delays in our travel, so please be patient with us as we safely make our way.

Announcement | Route Suspension

Due to the condition of the roads, SWRTA has suspended all transit services today.

Tomorrow’s service will be contingent on the condition of the roads, later today. At a minimum, transit service will be delayed until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Announcement | Route Suspensions

To ensure the safety of our passengers and employees, we are suspending services at 5:00 p.m. today.

Weather permitting, we will begin service for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

There may be an exception for a few dialysis and cancer center patients, once those facilities are open tomorrow.

We have great news! For the second year, our holiday schedule has been adjusted to help us serve the community more, even during on holidays. Reduced Transit Services will now be provided on the following holidays:

Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Christmas Eve
