On October 9 2026 SBHS participated in the annual Porches of Sumter Event sponsored by the Sumter Chamber Of Commerce. People had the opportunity to meet our Staff and receive information on our services. We even served Non Alcoholic drinks. Thanks for everyone who stopped by our table.

On October 9.2026, SBHS visited The Sumter Academy for Support and Intervention. Students met Richland County Deputies, Thomas Browne and Brayln Salmond. These Deputies are from the Show Live PD. The Deputies spoke about decision making, recovering from bad mistakes and not letting drugs affect your life.

Sumter Behavioral Health Services located at 755 Electric Drive will be closed on Monday October 12, 2026 in obervance of Columbus Day. We will reopen on Tuesday October 13, 2026 at 8:30 am. Enjoy your Holiday.

A Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce event

TakeBackDay is a free event for communities nationwide to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications safely and anonymously. On Saturday, October 24, from 10am-2pm bring those old and unneeded medications to Sumter Behavioral Health located at 755 Electric Drive, Sumter SC

On October 3 2026, SBHS was at The Annual ESTEAM festival. Our awesome Staff presented resources to the community. Thanks to everyone who stopped at our table.

On October 1, ,SBHS visited Mr. Halls cass at USC Sumter. Students discussed the dangers of Addictions, peer pressure, and stress., Students provided ideas on helping on another with our strengths and weakness.
