We did this one a couple weeks ago but forgot to post it 🤐
Install of a KDN Performance lock-out shifter on a Civic EF hatch! This shifter prevents you from a 1-2-1 shift and also a 2-3-2 shift. It also features a 5/R lockout so you don’t accidentally go 2-5 while shifting fast! 💪🏼
Also installed a DP Racing midplate so the motor won’t shift

This is a pretty cool way to make sure that your circuit is good and able to carry load through the wires.
This car had a bad ground for the TCM, so after repairing the ground issue I was able to confirm that the circuit is good to carry a load by using a headlight bulb to load it!
Remember, just because you have voltage on a circuit, that doesn’t mean it’s going to work 🤓

We had the pleasure of doing some basic maintenance items on a Ram 2500 today, to include an oil change, front and rear differential services, transfer case service, and fuel filter replacement!
The customer also had a concern about road noise and a noise under the hood.
We found that the tires had some abnormal wear and we were able to swap a spare set of wheels & tires we had onto the truck to confirm our diagnosis.
The noise under the hood turned out to be the transmission cooler line bracket. Somehow the bolt backed itself out and was allowing the lines to flop around and make noise. Put a new bolt in it and problem solved! Got to love an easy solution 🙌🏼

We had a Mustang swing by today and we installed an aesthetic roll bar! It gives it a whole new look with the top down 😎

This Wrangler came in last week with a pretty bad engine knock that had been going on for quite a bit.
Upon disabling cylinder #6 while it was running, the tone of the knock changed. We dug a little deeper, and found out that cylinder was low on compression and also had damage to the cylinder wall.
We diagnosed it as “piston slap” and this one will be coming back for us to put an engine in it!

We’ve been kind of slacking posting some updates on cars coming through the shop, we’ve just been so dang busy thanks to everyone! 😄
I’ll start off with this one from a couple weeks ago. This Yukon came in to get a radiator replaced, and upon starting on the repair we noticed the crank bolt was laying in the splash shield 👀
The harmonic balancer had also walked itself out about a 1/4” or so, luckily it hadn’t thrown the belt or started to leak oil from the seal yet!
We went ahead and pressed the balancer back on and installed a new bolt (torqued to spec this time 😂) for the customer, finished the repair and it was good to go! 💪🏼

This customer was referred to us by another C5 owner to check out his oil leaks and look into a clutch issue he was having.
After inspecting both, we found that almost every gasket was leaking and that the Exedy twin disc clutch in the car was at the end of its life.
We opted to drop the subframe and pull the whole engine to do the repair; it just made more sense that way! Once we got the assembly dropped out, we went ahead and pressure washed everything to make sure we weren’t putting it back together with dirty parts.
After cleaning and resealing the whole engine, we installed a McLeod Racing twin disc clutch paired with their adjustable release bearing to handle the ~700hp that this thing makes with the help of its Paxton supercharger setup.
Once the engine was reinstalled we replaced the lower radiator support that was damaged from hitting something. This one is back together and ready to go, leak-free!

Spent this last week building and installing the 5.3L L83. Connecting rod bearings packed their bags and caused all kinds of disco party in the rest of the motor. New crank, new rod, refreshed the other 7 rods, honed the block, new rings, and assembly and we are back in the saddle again 😎 40 mile break in on the new motor and absolutely nothing suspicious when the filter was cut open to check. Ready to pick up on Monday and get some break in miles put on her!
