Amazing stewardship
We are farmers on a small gulf island off British Columbia. We steward one and a half acres of land, using organic and no till methods. All our water comes from harvesting winter rains which are stored in ponds at the top of our farm. We gravity feed this water to our farm below.
In the four years we have been on this land, we have seen more snakes, butterflies, native bees, frogs and ducks make this land their home.
We are completely human powered and don't use any tractors. We are moving away from petroleum dependency through natural, holistic systems that build soil and resiliency in the face of climate change.
