A first for me, Going to Boyd Mountain Tree Farm in North Carolina. What a beautiful place to pick out a Christmas Tree. Of course, I had to get some photos in....

Took a ride to Bald River Falls on Tuesday, it was a beautiful day to start but by the time I got there, it turned cold and rainy. Wednesday, hiked up to Grotto Falls, the day was cold as well 43' at the falls but beautiful skys and sunny. Where will I go next?🤔

Took a drive to a hike a waterfall, but it rained so I made the best of it. Stopped at a church and watched a blown glass artist make a pumpkin. Gatlinburg has alot to offer, if ever you get a chance to visit.

Had a "Date with my Camera" today. Went to check out some covered bridges that were in the area. Love the Old History that still is kept around.

What a morning! Headed back to Cades Cove at 6am and I finally got to see Bears!!! Such a beautiful and peaceful place, early in the morning. Took a side road on to Parsons Branch rd., which is a one-way, definitely became the Road Less Traveled. Just Me and My Camera. Perfect!

Took a little side trip and made it a "Date with My Camera" kinda day. Explored the Roaring Fork Road, just outside of Gatlinburg, where the roads are winding thru darken trees, moss covered rocks, small waterfalls and a fast-moving river alongside. Waterfalls are in the area too, but that's for another day. There are several homes left behind from previous settlers, one of which I stopped at. Alfred Reagan. He lived here back in 1800's and built the mill across the way, powered by the river, to help grind corn to make flour, he was a farmer, carpenter, blacksmith, coffin maker among other traits. Interesting read for sure. In one of the photos, you'll notice 6 orbs, taken in the upstairs bedroom. Could it be? Lots of history in these hills, and a must do if ever in the area.

Took a "Date with My Camera" today. Started in Cades Cove in hopes of photographing some bears but only saw the horses and a wild turkey. Explored more of the area, going on different roads and ended up in Townsend....so..I drove to Cherokee, NC to Mingo Falls, but it's closed for repairs (internet said it was still accessible), so that was a bummer. Lost my GPS, so didn't go anywhere else. Overall, not a bad day. Lots of driving on curvy roads and was glad to be back at my home sight.

Elkmont, TN/2025. Went back to look for the "Troll Bridge", and we found it! How exciting to see this little bridge. No one really knows why it was built, but my guess was to cross the creek to the homes that were there instead of using a log. On a side note...we asked a cpl of ppl that were on the trail if they k ew where it was, and they never heard of it...🤔.
Sometimes, you just have to go off the beaten path.
