What you odyssey is the amazing detailing and ceramic coating we’ve been accomplishing for the last 18 years.

So you want a ceramic coating for 500 bucks? Let’s break down the hours and cost and then tell me if you think that’s even feasible

The prep takes about an 45 minutes but we will round that to an hour

What does that include?
An exterior hand wash
decon wash
clay bar treatment
Wheel wells and rims cleaned
Towel dry
Blow out crevices

Exterior compound 3- 5 hours (depending on vehicles paint and imperfections)
Determining which compound and pad works best for your vehicles paint
Compound the vehicle to remove all swirl marks, surface scratches and imperfections

Polish 1-2 hours (depending on how much we needed to compound and how big the vehicle is

Prep before coating (1 hour)
Clean windows inside and out
Door jams
Blow out, vacuum, wipe down interior
Wheels cleaned and dressed
Wheel wells dressed
Shine chrome
Alcohol wipe exterior to remove all oils from the pours of the paint

First layer of coating 1.5 hours
Apply coating, wipe off each panel

Let sit for one hour then apply
second layer of coating 1.5 hours
Apply coating use 2-3 rags to remove all access coating
Let coating sit for 1-2 hours and then bring it outside to check over and remove any high spots left behind

So that’s about 10-12 hours of labor
Not including the cost of chemicals and products

Hourly wages plus cost of doing the job is well over 500.00 so if a detailer tells you that they can do the job for 500.00 I guarantee you are not getting what you wanted.

That breakdown also does not include the lights used, the electric, the insurance of the business owner, or the bay that is down for 2 days.

People always want a deal or try to finagle prices without even knowing what a job entails and I think that’s horrible. Know what it takes before asking for a discount.
