🎣 DnT Charters Catch-Up Report 🎣
We’ve been busy, so here’s a quick recap of the last few trips!
🇧🇸 May 21-23 – Bahamas Adventure
We left Stuart at 5:00 AM and headed east for a 3-day adventure to Rosie’s Place in the Bahamas. The trip got off to an awesome start when we watched a Starlink rocket launch light up the morning sky on our way across.
After clearing customs, we headed offshore and put together a nice catch of yelloweye snapper for dinner. The trolling bite was tough, but we managed a few barracuda and even had a wahoo bite us off. We finished the trip with a nice mutton snapper, a black grouper, silky snapper, and more yelloweyes before dropping friends off at West End for a dive charter and heading home.
A highlight of the trip was having our fresh catch cooked up at Ron’s Hot Spot. Great food, great friends, and plenty of memories made!
🎣 May 30 – 3/4 Day Charter
The bite was a little slow out front, but persistence paid off. We managed to put 2 mahi and a nice blackfin tuna in the boat. Not every day is a wide-open bite, but fresh fish for dinner is always a win!
🎣 June 6 – Double Header
Our morning crew from Kansas City battled rougher-than-forecast conditions. We had a sailfish take a shot at the long rigger but couldn’t get him to stay connected. We did manage a blackfin tuna before heading in.
The afternoon crew from Texas decided to stay shallow, and that paid off quickly. We put a mahi in the boat early, followed by a beautiful gaffer mahi. We also released a barracuda before wrapping up another fun trip.
From the Bahamas to offshore Stuart, the fish have kept us working and the crews have kept us laughing. Thanks to everyone who has fished with us lately!
🌈 Dinner and a show, great people, bent rods, and memories made. That’s what it’s all about!

DnT Fishing Report – 5/18 🎣🌊🌈
Had a great group of guys from Leesburg, FL onboard today for a sporty 3/4 day trip! First thing in the morning we were greeted with a beautiful rainbow… always a good sign before heading offshore.
Weather had a little attitude today, but we made it happen. Ran SE of the inlet and started in 180’ of water. As soon as the lines hit the water… BAM… first strike, but he got away. While dodging storms and watching a massive waterspout offshore, we kept pushing.
Started trolling offshore and found the mahi! Worked the 180’–280’ range picking away at mahi and boxed a nice blackfin tuna.
The current carried us north inside Push Button Hill and then the real show started… Mr. Sailfish came crashing the teaser! Switched him off perfectly to the flatline — FISH ON! Nice fight and released him boatside.
Kept trolling inshore and then BAM… another sailfish smoked the right flat. Another great fight and another healthy release at the boat!
Had one more sail come up on the left teaser but couldn’t get him to switch off. Ended the day with a bonito to top things off.
Mahi, blackfin tuna, multiple sailfish bites, storms, waterspouts, and a rainbow to start the day… doesn’t get much better than that. Dinner AND a show today! 🔥🐟⚡️🌈

DnT Fishing Report 🎣May 15-17 Bahamas Trip 🇧🇸
Left the dock at 5 AM Friday morning headed for Grand Cay to clear customs at Rosie’s. After getting checked in, we eased out front and loaded up on some yellow eye snapper for dinner. A couple hours later the cooler looked good, so we pointed her offshore and started trolling.
About 20 minutes after setting the spread out… CHAOS 😳
A mean blue marlin came screaming in and absolutely destroyed the starboard chain before snapping it off. Then he switched gears and piled onto the short long rigger eating the Sea Star teaser. After a 2 hour and 45 minute battle, we got the release and called it a day. Definitely one to remember! 🔥🎣💪
5/16Left the dock at 7 AM and worked west looking for life. Bite started slow but we finally found some frigates bouncing mahi around. Went 1 for 3 on mahi bites, boxed a blackfin tuna, and caught a couple barracudas to keep things interesting.
On the way in we stopped by my “strawberry grouper honey hole” and put some beautiful strawberry grouper and a black snapper in the box for dinner 🍽️
Finished the evening trolling for mutton snapper and managed to go 1 for 2.
5/17Checked out and left the dock at 7 AM. Ran offshore into about 2000’ looking for birds, but the wind had things pretty stirred up. Trolled back toward the corner and found a pack of birds, but they wouldn’t cooperate.
The barracudas sure did though 😂Ended the day going 12 for 24 on cuda bites. Pure chaos and lots of laughs from the crew from Melbourne.
Great trip, great people, and memories made in the Bahamas 🇧🇸🔥

🎣🌊 DnT Charters Fishing Report – May 8th & 9th 🌊🎣
May 8th Charter
Team building trip turned into a fish catching trip with plenty of laughs along the way 😎🍻
We started the morning bottom fishing and the Vermilions were READY TO EAT! Put 21 Vermilion snapper in the box in about an hour 🔥🐟
After loading the cooler, we switched over to trolling. Had a heartbreaker when a big bull mahi went airborne and threw the hook 🤦♂️🌈 Then shortly after that another nice gaffer mahi did the same thing. The mahi definitely had hops that day 😂
We stayed on them and managed to box 2 out of 6 mahi along with a Skipjack tuna to finish out a fun day offshore!

May 9th Charter
Had a great family come down from Jacksonville to spend the day offshore with us ☀️🎣
Started the day bottom fishing and while the bite slowed compared to the previous trip, we still managed to put together:
* 16 Vermilion snapper
* 5 porgies
After that we hit the troll and covered a TON of water searching for a bite. W**d lines looked good, water looked good… fish apparently had the day off 😅
Tried everything we could but the trolling bite was pretty much nonexistent for us. That’s fishing — some days they chew and some days they make you work for every bite 🤷♂️🌊
Still a beautiful couple days on the water with awesome people aboard!

Gone fishing 🎣

The old girl got a little TLC this week. Freshened up the covering boards and she’s looking salty again. 🔥⚓️
Nothing beats clean teak, shiny gelcoat, and getting the boat ready to put clients on fish. Now it’s time to dirty her back up with some blood and scales. 🎣
Big difference before the summer bite heats up.
