I just saw on FB that a store in Crystal River is selling a manatee t-shirt with Trump written on its back exploiting what someone did to a manatee last week. The shirt is tacky and NOT funny at ALL!

The manatees are here! Oh.. how they love Florida in the winter! The spring fed rivers provide a warm haven from the cool Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic ocean. There are plenty of these seasonal visitors in the Crystal River this morning!

Swimming with the manatees is a bucket list must do! I was 9 years old when I first swam along with them in the incredibly blue and serene Three Sister's Spring. It was such a different time wayyyy back then! The springs were very quiet, maybe 1 or 2 other boats. Now it is much busier with the locals and daily manatee tours but still as exciting as ever to be in the water with them! These gentle giants are the sweetest and kindest creatures you can imagine! They will truly provide a one of a kind experience for you and your family!

Please observe all boundaries and respect all rules related to interacting with them anywhere and everywhere! Especially, do not chase or harass these lovable sea cows! Manatees are curious and may approach you which is a once in a lifetime moment to enjoy!
