Using a free-spinning random orbital and having a hard time telling if the pad is still spinning?
Here's an incredibly simple (but effective) tip: draw a line with a marker along your pad's edge.
This will give you a VISUAL indicator as to when the pad is spinning and actively abrading versus when it's just vibrating on the paint.
Not all polishers stall, however. Some keep spinning because they use a different mechanism to create rotation. See our polisher comparison matrix chart to see which polishers stall and which don't. Just visit the decision guide link in bio.

Here’s my review for the Makita PO5000C from the year 2017 - when it was first introduced.
We also did the prototype testing and in my review, you’ll see pictures of the Japanese Engineers from Makita .

Always be sure to OVERLAP your sections as you apply any ceramic coating, gloss or matte. If you don't, you'll leave behind tons of small, uncoated areas that are totally unprotected. Do it right the first time and overlap each section!

🧼 Car Wash Soap: 3 Most Important Factors (Save This👇)
1️⃣ pH Neutral — This means the soap is balanced between alkalinity and acidity, which is what strips wax, sealants and coating maintenance toppers from the paint. Avoid soaps that advertise as "strip washes", unless your goal is a totally clean slate.
2️⃣ High Foam / High Lubricity — This means the soap produces a thick layer of lubricating suds that prevent your wash mitt from generating friction with the paint surface, reducing "wash mark" scratch patterns. The foam also aids in dissolving and loosening dirt and grime clinging to the paint.
3️⃣ Free-Rinsing — Free rinsing means that when you go to rinse, the soap (and the dirt it loosened) freely rinses off the car. If a soap feels slimy or sticky and takes forever to rinse, that can mean you’re not getting the dirt they loosened off either.

See that brown foam?
That's a visual indicator your tire is still dirty.
A lot of people were surprised by how many times scrubbed this tire clean. Is he crazy?
No. Just thorough.
The fact is, if you are still seeing brown running through your tire cleaner foam, your tire is still dirty. Don't stop there. Rinse the tire, rinse your brush, re-apply some cleaner and get back to work.

Best Practices for Car Wash Frequency (save this 👇)
How often you wash your car is based on how often you drive your car. After all, driving your car is how it gets dirty. Choose your regimen based on how often your car is driven.
📆 Daily Driver: Every 2 Weeks
✅ Cars driven daily should be washed every two weeks at the very least. This helps prevent road film build-up and permanent etch marks from bonded contaminants.
📆 Garage-Kept: As-Needed
✅ If you’re not driving your car regularly, washing too often will inflict micro-scratches called swirl marks. Just wash as-needed, and only use a quick detail spray for dust removal.
‼️ Important Tips
❌ NEVER WASH MORE THAN NECESSARY: Over-washing can cause micro-scratch patterns called “swirl marks” that require polishing to remove. Too much polishing weakens the clear coat and risks failure.
❌ NEVER USE AUTOMATIC WASHES: Even if your car needs a wash ASAP, it’s best to wait until you can hand wash it. Automatic washes use abrasive bristles that scratch paint.

Blast from the Past! Barry was always a GREAT guy to work with! In the pictures attached, Barry is holding a very RARE half gallon jug of Machine Light Cleaner from the early 1900's.
When this picture was taken, I had a nice collection of vintage and rare car wax products in my Autogkeek office.
Since then, I've donated the best of the best items to the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida.
There's two pictures showing these products in an awesome display case in the main display room at the museum
Love my beautiful wife Stacy!
