Trans people have always existed and always will. Our statement regarding the USOPC policy change.

The recent policy change from the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee is a brazen attempt to erase trans people not just from sports but from society.

VCR vehemently opposes USOPC’s new policy. We stand with trans athletes and endorse USAU’s current gender inclusion policies. Moreover, we firmly believe that it is up to each player to decide for themselves which division or matchup best corresponds with their gender.

We urge USAU to resist this change and reinforce its Gender Inclusion Policy and its EDI commitment regarding trans athletes.

Community is what makes Ultimate special. USAU has the opportunity to stand up for its trans members and its community at large, and set the standard for inclusivity in sporting institutions in the US and beyond.

As a women’s division team, we welcome and cherish trans players in our sport, and commit to taking any steps necessary to stay aligned with our value of inclusion.
