🧀🏈 WELL... TODAY WAS PRETTY DAMN COOL.

One of the things I've learned about this journey is that you never really know who you're going to meet or what a random day is going to bring.

Today brought me face to face with Gilbert Brown.

Yep... THE GRAVEDIGGER. 🪦🏈

Super Bowl champion. Green Bay Packers legend. And one of those names that anybody who followed the Packers in the '90s immediately recognizes.

I've had a lot of unexpected experiences since starting this whole workamping adventure, but getting the opportunity to meet someone I grew up watching play for Green Bay definitely wasn't something I had on today's bingo card. 😂

Pretty damn cool moment.

And another reminder of why I started Forged by Miles in the first place.

You can plan the destination.

You can plan the job.

You can plan the route.

But you can NEVER plan all the people, stories, and experiences you'll collect along the way.

Today added a pretty damn good one to the collection. 😎🏈

😎🐾 A LITTLE CALM BEFORE THE CHAOS...

Normally by noon I'm already punched in and somewhere around the campground working on whatever the day decides to throw at me.

Today I got a little bonus.

A few extra hours to kick back and relax with Thor before heading in tonight. 🐾

Because I'm definitely NOT off. 😂

Tonight it's time to switch gears for security and deliveries until the wee hours of the morning.

That's campground life.

One day you're doing maintenance.

The next you're tearing something apart.

Then you're fixing something somebody else tore apart.

And sometimes you spend the evening keeping an eye on several hundred campsites while running deliveries around the campground. 😂

But for right now?

Thor and I are enjoying the calm before the radio starts making noise. 😎🐾

Then it's back to work.

Different shift. Same journey.

⛳🔥 ANOTHER ONE IN THE BOOKS. 🔥⛳

A while back, this mini golf course was looking a little rough around the edges. Old turf, worn spots, sections that had definitely seen better days.

So naturally… I started ripping it apart. 😂

Now THIS is what it looks like when the dust settles. 😎

Fresh turf cut, fitted, stretched and laid. Edges put back together. Holes cleaned up. Course looking like a golf course again instead of an active construction zone. 😂

There’s something damn satisfying about standing back at the end of a job and being able to SEE the difference your work made.

It might just be mini golf to somebody else.

To me, it’s another thing that needed doing…
so I got it done. 💪

🔨 Work.
⛳ Results.
🔥 Keep moving.

Ran out of carpet to finish the rest, but it'll get there

Not all miles are on the road.

Some days are for building.
Some days are for grinding.
Some days are for chasing whatever comes next.

Today ain't one of those days. 😎🔥

Today I'm OFF.

Good friends. Good coworkers. Food on the grill. Cold drinks. Laughs around the table and absolutely nowhere I need to be.

I've spent plenty of days this summer working beside these people, fixing things, building things, sweating our asses off and handling whatever the campground decides to throw at us.

Today we get to just enjoy the damn place. 🍔🌭🍻

Because not all miles are on the road.
Some are measured in the people you meet along the way and the memories you make when nobody's punched in.

Sometimes you print something useful.

Sometimes you make something for a customer.

Sometimes you look at your 3D printer and think...

"Yeah. I need a giant sword." 😂

And here we are.

This bad boy came off the Bambu P1S, and pictures honestly don't do the size of it justice. Standing next to the machines gives you a pretty good idea though. 😳

One of my favorite things about getting deeper into 3D printing is realizing just how much is possible. Functional parts, custom pieces, decorations, collectibles, ridiculous oversized weapons...

If I can imagine it, there's a pretty good chance I'm going to try making it. 😎

And THIS is exactly the kind of stuff I've been hunting for lately as I keep expanding what Custom Designs by Kauffman has to offer.

Laser engraving.
CNC.
3D printing.
Custom work.
And apparently now an armory. 😂⚔️
