Looking for a home to pursue musc after high school? Are you a high school senior who wants to pursue music either professionally or recreationally? The UWSP Music Department could be the perfect home for you!

Flutists are encouraged to reach out to Dr. Breisach for a trial lesson, audition, and to be connected with other Flute Studio members!

Looking for some flutey events to participate in this fall? UWSP has two fun upcoming events!

On October 28th, we welcome all flute players from the surrounding community to join the UWSP Flute Choir in some Halloween tunes composed and arranged for flute choir! This event is free and open to the public and pizza will be provided for those rehearsing and performing with us.

On November 15th, we will be hosting a Flute Day in conjunction with the Double Reed Day. More information will be coming in a separate post, but the day will feature UWSP students and faculty as well as guest artist Dr. Jennifer Clippert and Burkart Flutes! There is a $30 registration fee for this event to cover the cost of food and a t-shirt. Please register by November 5th to ensure you get the correct size t-shirt.

Join the UWSP Flute Studio for a frightfully fun evening of fluting! We are inviting flute players of all ages from the community to join us for some Halloween flute choir pieces. The evening will start with a rehearsal, followed by pizza, and then the performance! Don’t miss an evening of beautiful music in the Gardens! Tonight at 6:00 pm. This talented group of musicians will play in the English Garden. Beverages will be available for purchase in the Potager. $5 admission will go directly to the musicians, please bring cash and chairs or a blanket to sit on 🪈🍷🎶

The CWSO is excited to announce our new Early Childhood Music Education program, Tunes for Tots!

This is a parent-child class for children aged birth-four that will be taught by Dr. Beatriz Aguilar and Lyssa Edwards. Classes will run on Thursday mornings at 10am on June 12th, June 19th, June 26th, and July 3rd at the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum. Pre-registration is encouraged as class capacity is limited! Each class is $5 per child.

Registration is open for the 2025 Point Music Camp!

Point Music Camp is held each summer at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point School of Performing Arts and is intended for students entering grades 9-12 as well as students graduating this spring.

Attend this great camp to gain valuable experiences, learn new techniques, and develop long-lasting friendships while experiencing our inspiring university.

Work hard! Our mission is to develop and nurture 9-12 grade musicians by helping them discover new literature, techniques, and ideas while fostering confidence and enthusiasm. Instructors include many UW-Stevens Point Department of Music Faculty Artists to ensure the best learning environment for students who are serious about music.

Try something new! Learn about the great Hollywood film scores. Participate in an informal music-making class or take a beginning improvisation class.

Immerse Yourself! Each student receives instruction on their primary instrument each day in studio and master classes.

Have Fun! Perform on a talent show. Try out yoga for the first time or go on a trip to the Schmeeckle Reserve to enjoy nature and read poems. Are you a night owl? Play Zombie night tag in the Noel Fine Arts Center. Go on an ice cream run to Belt's or play board games with other campers and counselors.
