The fruit for this wine comes from Marietta’s McDowell Valley estate, which is renowned for Rhône varieties and home to some of the oldest Syrah and Grenache Gris in California. These unique vines are six feet tall, head-trained, and dry farmed. This vineyard, in a valley surrounded by mountains, benefits from the cold sink that ensures cools nights and preserves acidity and freshness. The fruit is hand-harvested early in the season and whole-cluster pressed before stainless steel fermentation. Aged in neutral oak barrels for three months with weekly lees stirring softens the edges of this bright and vibrant rosé. The 2025 vintage saw steady ripening, slightly cooler temperatures, yielded rosé wines of great focus and freshness. Pasaeli Wines Official by Seyit Karagozoglu is a family owned Turkish wine estate that was founded by Seyit Karagözoğlu in 2000. Seyit, who was born and raised in İzmir, appreciated the value of agriculture and made wine his passion at an early age. He planted vineyards and founded Paşaeli after a decade as a wine importer, as he felt the soil and climate of Turkey were ideal for growing high quality grapes. Indigenous varieties were planted in the Aegean region, such as Sultaniye, Yapıncak, Çalkarası, and Karasakız, and Bordeaux varieties were planted near İzmir. The Paşaeli wines are well-made, balanced, and great value wines from Turkey. Most of the wines are made from indigenous Turkish varieties, as well as a Bordeaux Blend, have great labels, informative back labels, and are priced right.
