We were honored to have been chosen as the studio location for Vanity Fair to capture portraits of Ilya back in November. 

For our Winter Issue, Vanity Fair profiled Milano Cortina gold medal favorite @ilia_quadg0d_malinin and asked the question: can he make figure skating cool again? “He is the right guy at the right time,” said Vera Wang, who was an Olymic hopeful ice skater before she became a fashion designer. “Not only for America but also for skating. Unfiltered, cool, boyish, a kind of daredevil.” “Trying to make the sport big again is something that I’m really pushing,” Malinin told VF’s @aidan_mclaughlin. “Remember, a few decades ago, it was huge. It was across every TV channel.” As for the backflips you’re seeing all over social media: “For me, now, a backflip on skates is as simple as a single jump,” Malinin said, twirling his floppy blond hair.
