One of the biggest insurance mistakes I see has nothing to do with price.

It’s people choosing the lowest liability limits because that’s what the online quote defaulted to.

Example:

Someone causes a serious accident and has $25,000 in liability coverage.
But the injuries and damages total $300,000.

Insurance pays the first $25k.
The rest can come directly from your savings, paycheck, or assets.

Most people assume their policy “covers everything.” It doesn’t.

Higher liability limits usually cost a few dollars more per month, but they protect everything you’ve worked for.
