Our friends at DRCR are having a trophy race saturday!! Its just a little over an hour from our track with an awesome layout, and many of the same faces you see at our place!!

🌙 WEEKNIGHT PRACTICE + TIMING?

We’re kicking around the idea of having a weeknight where we turn the timing system on and give everyone a chance to get some laps in, test setups, and maybe even do a little organized racing.

One possible format:

⏱️ 1 Qualifier
🏁 1 Main
💥 Simple, quick, and done at a reasonable time

🏁 Red River RC

Congratulations to Bo Bates for winning the 2026 Powell County Fair RC Championship Race. We started the day with 25 drivers competing with identical Slash Trucks. The drivers were divided into heat races for first responders, schools, political candidates and sponsors. All the heat race winners competed in the championship race. We want to thank our race sponsors Mike Townsend for Sheriff, Tosha Tipton for County Clerk, Brinton Epperson for PVA, Ian Morton for sheriff, and Brian McKinney for magistrate.

We’re looking for drivers interested in a FREE, quick E-Buggy race from 6–8 PM!

We are looking to have around 10 or so drivers! This is meant to be simple and fun. Show up, throw down some laps, run one qualifier and one main, and we’ll wrap everything up by 8 PM.

We just need enough drivers to make it happen!

🏁 Red River RC

Red River RC will be open every night this week during the Powell County fair located at the Lions Cub Park. Come out and practice for free each night beginning at 6pm. We also have Slash rentals for $10 per race. We will be keeping track of the fast lap each night for the Slashes. The TQ each night will be invited back for Saturdays RC championship race.

📣 RED RIVER RC BOARD APPLICATIONS

Red River RC will soon be accepting applications for individuals interested in serving on our Board!

As our club continues to grow, we’re looking for people who want to get involved, bring new ideas to the table, and help make Red River RC even better for our racers, families, and community.

There are plenty of different roles and responsibilities on our board. Being a board member does not mean you’ll be required to perform track maintenance or physical work if you’re unable to or can’t for other reasons.

There are many ways to contribute, including race and event planning, promotion and social media, sponsor and community relations, fundraising, administrative work, race-day operations, track and facility projects, and much more.

Everyone has different skills, schedules, experience, and abilities. We want to find where you can contribute best.

🗳️ IMPORTANT FOR CURRENT BOARD MEMBERS

As part of our upcoming elections, all existing board members must reapply if they wish to retain their current position or be considered for another board position.

Current positions will not automatically carry over. This gives everyone, both current and prospective board members, an opportunity to apply and be considered as we prepare for the next term.

You don’t have to be the fastest racer, a track-building expert, or have years of RC experience. We’re looking for dependable people who care about the club, work well with others, and want to help Red River RC continue growing.
