"Mental health problems don't define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain."
— Matt Haig
It's easy to lose sight of this when you're in the middle of a hard season. When the anxiety or exhaustion starts to feel like it's just who you are now.
It isn't. You are not your hardest moments. And you don't have to weather them alone.

The Little Ryder Room got a whole lot of love.
Last month, four Edward Jones partners and associates volunteered their time to repaint the walls and doors, assemble new bookcases, and organize the library at Mary Ryder Home—our safe haven for women 55+ that Provident is proud to support.
Provident's own Development Specialist Ani Kramer added her own touch by painting whimsical characters right on the walls.
And Ms. Betty, a long-time Mary Ryder resident, gave it her seal of approval, "Aaa-llll right! Just like we used to say in the 60's!"
A huge thank you to the Edward Jones team and to Development Chair Kim McBride for organizing this beautiful project.
Sometimes all it takes is one phone call.
"I was watching the door and feeling lonely until you called."
That's what one TeleHope client told us. Our care managers call older adults across St. Louis, not just to check in, but to listen, problem-solve, and remind people they're not alone.
TeleHope and TeleHelp are free services for older adults and caregivers in the St. Louis area.
