If you're near the High Ridge, MO area this Saturday February 7th, treat yourself to a cup of coffee and a sweet treat at Toasted Coffee House. From 8am to noon a portion of sales is being donated to the Wildlife Rehab Center in High Ridge. I started volunteering there last year. Everyone is really passionate about helping all the critters that come in. Your coffee will support a small local business and help wildlife.

Please join the Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic and Toasted this Saturday by stopping in for a coffee or snack (or both!). We are plunging headlong into a new baby season, and we will need all available resources at our disposal. We would not be able to continue our work without your support and the support of a great business like Toasted.

We hope to see you there this Saturday! ☕️

The older I get, the more I'm digging my heels into living my life my way.

Why can't I keep a bit of holiday decor up all year long? That zombie squirrel just makes me laugh every time I look at it.

And those icicle lights? They just create the most cozy ambiance.

So what about you? Share what you are unafraid to admit and let's normalize being cringe.

Look up and down for signs of spring and keep your ears open!

Notice an increased presence of circling Turkey Vultures? I honestly didn't know they migrate until I did this turkey vulture piece. There are year round residents here in Missouri. But after learning this, I've been keeping my eyes on the sky and have definitely noticed more turkey vulture now. And it's just the beginning of Spring Migration.

Blue bells are in bloom and the mushrooms are popping! Fiddleheads are also starting to sprout.

Whippoorwill's are migrating. Some have even been recorded in St. Louis. It is always a wonderful treat to hear them at night.

Good camping weather is here. The days are longer and the nights are just chilly enough for a comfortable night's sleep in a cozy sleeping bag.

What signs of spring do you always look for? Share your favorites in the comments and where you live! It'd be pretty cool to learn what signs of spring occur in different geographic regions.

Spring is here, and the world is getting colorful again. This little bunny nestled among tulips is a reminder to slow down and savor the beauty of the season.

Just as nature renews itself, we can invite more warmth and beauty into our homes—creating spaces that feel alive and peaceful. With roots in Ostara, the hare and the egg have long symbolized new beginnings. Here’s to longer days, spring ephemerals, and the simple joys of the season.

Tell me, what’s your favorite sign that spring has arrived?

This piece is available. 🔗 in bio.

The last time I worked on this little bear cub, I was outside on a sweltering summer day, the heat pressing down as I burned each detail into the wood. Fast forward to today, and the snow is finally melting, the air is crisp but warm enough to remind me that spring isn’t too far off.

This piece has always felt a little personal to me—the shy peek from behind the tree, that quiet curiosity. Maybe today is a good day to step outside, take a deep breath, and peek out from winter’s long embrace.

Even the wild ones need rest.

Sometimes, you just need to find a quiet, cozy hole to crawl into for rejuvenating snooze.

As I'm sitting outside drinking my morning coffee, the sun rays kissing my cheeks, and the cardinals, bluejays, and hummingbirds join me for breakfast, I feel a bit nostalgic for the summers of my childhood.

My childhood summers were filled with long days swimming in the lake, fishing for catfish in the evenings, and nights spent unwinding under the fans on the covered porch watching lightening bugs and listening to the chorus of insects.

As an adult, I miss having the months off to indulge myself in these enjoyments of nature. But that doesn't mean I can't still infuse my summer with fun times at a lake. Even if that means going to a state park instead of a relative's lake house.

This sunset piece was inspired by the simplicity of childhood summers.

It's currently available at in High Ridge, MO.

Lordy, it's hot out.

I stopped into Toasted Coffee House to cool off with a blueberry lemonade.

I'm so grateful to get another opportunity to be their Featured Artist! My artwork is featured there June and July this summer. I've been working on smaller pieces that are making their debut. Some wildlife, some inspired by summer activities.

Treat your self to an iced coffee and a piece of art that reminds you of your true nature.
