Meet Caroline Cunningham, a Summer Associate at Lewis Rice and a student at Saint Louis University School of Law.

Before joining the firm, Caroline spent her 1L summer clerking for Judge Stephen P. McGlynn of the Southern District of Illinois. She recently had an article selected for publication in the Saint Louis University Law Journal, where she will serve as Childress Lecture Managing Editor next year and participate in the Children’s Permanency Law Clinic.

Caroline was initially drawn to Lewis Rice’s strong Midwest reputation and its commitment to giving summer associates meaningful, hands-on experience across practice areas. Since arriving, she has found exactly that—building practical skills, working closely with attorneys, and gaining exposure to a broad range of legal issues and practice areas.

We’re glad to have Caroline with us this summer and look forward to supporting her continued growth in the weeks ahead.

Our Summer Associates kicked off the summer with orientation, welcome events, training sessions, and their first assignments. They’re already building connections across the firm and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

We’re excited to watch this talented group grow throughout the summer and look forward to sharing more highlights in the weeks ahead.

The 2026 Summer Program is officially underway — and we're thrilled to welcome our new and returning Summer Associates to Lewis Rice! Their first day started with a breakfast reception at the Firm and a welcome lunch at Blood & Sand, both of which were great opportunities to connect/reconnect with each other and attorneys at the firm.

This incredible group of 16 law students join us from top law schools including: Mizzou Law, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, SLU LAW, and WashU Law.

The Kansas City office is pleased to welcome two Summer Associates — Lillian Reynolds and Brooklyn Lowry. Lillian is a rising 3L at Washburn University School of Law, and Brooklyn is a rising 2L from the University of Missouri School of Law.

We're thrilled to have them on board this summer as they gain meaningful, hands-on legal experience.

We had a fantastic time gathering at The Maryland House last Thursday for a pre-summer program happy hour to welcome our 2026 Summer Associates ahead of our program's kickoff. Great conversations, new connections, and plenty of excitement for the summer ahead.

Closing out a fantastic year of Lewis Rice Women to Women (LRW2W) Forum programming with a meaningful evening of connection at Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria.

We gathered for a book club–style dinner discussing "The Correspondent" by Virginia Evans and Acquired Podcast episodes on Costco and Hermès, sparking an evening of thoughtful conversation.

LRW2W supports and celebrates the influence of our women attorneys, both at the firm and in the broader community, and is one of many initiatives that helps Lewis Rice attract and retain some of the most respected legal minds in St. Louis.

Team Lewis Rice had a blast participating in the 11th annual St. Louis , presented by St. Louis Sports Commission at Energizer Park! Beautiful weather while connecting with other local organizations at St. Louis’ “Healthiest Happy Hour” made for a great evening all around.

We loved spending time together outside the office and being part of such an energizing community event. With 7,500+ participants from more than 250 companies, this event continues to showcase the strength of the St. Louis business community.
