As the weather gets warmer, it’s a sure thing students will be enjoying Harris-Stowe State University's outdoor basketball court and pavilion. The basketball court, which replaced a sand volleyball court, includes six hoops for one full court or two half courts, covered pavilion, entry gates, and lighting. Archimages is proud to have provided design services for this facility and be a part of HSSU’s campus upgrades. Below is a before/after picture of the project.

Project Engineer / Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the management and production of construction plans for various projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal infrastructure design.
• Coordinate with and mentor EIT’s and civil designers
• Coordinating project design with design team
• Preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid specifications
• Performing site visits to verify field conditions and monitor construction
• Reviewing and processing contactor submittals
• Preparing site investigation and development feasibility reports
• Resolve design conflicts; perform accountability reviews
• Maintaining project documentation
• Assist in developing project scopes and schedules
• Communicate and maintain good client communication
• Perform quantity takeoffs, shop drawing review, and prepare bid specifications
• Perform quality control review of design projects
• Present projects to clients, agencies, municipalities, and the general public.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Registered Professional Engineer within the State
• Minimum 6 years of experience
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and design software

The City of Maplewood's new Fire Station was designed and is being built to achieve LEED Silver Certification, making it the first and only municipal building in St. Louis to be LEED Certified. CEDC is the civil engineer, S. M. Wilson is the construction manager and JEMA is the architect on the project.
