One day before macing and arrests begin.

07/03/20 St. Louis, Mo - St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson arrives at her house - quickly driving past the barricaded portion of the street - as protestors began to leave.

Krewson put out a small fire with her sandals just prior to the fire department and police officers arriving onto the scene.

6/17 Protest in St. Louis to Close The Workhouse.
The Workhouse is a medium-security penitentiary that has operates as a debtors prison, mandates forced labor, and has come under heavy scrutiny for inhumane living conditions.

A little background as you see more news coming out of Florissant:

-People are protesting (former) Officer Joshua Smith driving through someone’s yard to run over an unarmed, fleeing suspect. Him, 2 other officers, and a helicopter pilot were present at the scene, but lied on their official police report.
-Many nights of peaceful protest began to escalate when a man - witnesses say claimed to be an off-duty Officer - tried to drive through protestors and another threatened to shoot.
-The next day, 2 more vehicles drove through the crowd. Later that night, limited property damage - as a response to the increased aggression - was met with the indiscriminate macing and arrests of protestors, even as they backed away and began to leave.
-Last night, a police cruiser repeatedly drove within inches of people, before police suddenly lifted a weeks-long blockade of traffic, causing protestors to suddenly have to dodge speeding vehicles.
-There are now multiple incidents of police using vehicles as weapons while people are protesting police using a vehicle as a weapon.
