Collaboration at its best- Des Lee Fine Arts Education Collaborative, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, St. Louis Public Schools, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis came together to create this wonderful opportunity for Mullanphy Elementary 3rd graders.
Mullanphy Elementary 3rd graders write and perform opera Third graders at Mullanphy Elementary wrote an opera. They performed it with the St. Louis Symphony.

Remembering Des Lee today on the anniversary of his birth. Des Lee was born August 6, 1917 in Sikeston, Mo. He certainly did make a positive difference during his lifetime!

Today, August 6, is Des Lee's birthday, and a time to remember and honor his legacy.

Patricia Zahn, who came to UMSL 15 years ago to support the Des Lee Collaborative Vision and community engagement efforts at the university, was recently inducted into the Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship. Congratulations, Patricia!
Patricia Zahn selected as member of prestigious Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship - UMSL Daily Zahn, the director of community engagement and outreach at UMSL, will be one of five ACES members from the University of Missouri System.

CLIMB concludes 11th summer helping area high school students gain hands-on scientific lab experience - UMSL Daily The program gives participants a better understanding of what a future in science might look like and helps them see themselves in one of those careers.
