No Summer School on June 13 for Marvin and Kratz Elementary School Students


Dear Marvin and Kratz Families and Staff,

There will be no summer school tomorrow - Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Marvin Elementary School due to a suspected gas leak. This impacts all Marvin and Kratz elementary summer school students.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our utmost priority, and as a precautionary measure, we have decided to close the school building tomorrow. We are working closely with our local fire departments and Spire Energy to resolve the issue promptly and ensure our school is safe.

All other Ritenour summer school programs will be in session.

We apologize for this inconvenience but wanted to let you know as soon as possible this evening.

The Ritenour School District is currently accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2020-2021 school year. The school year is beginning in a virtual format, so it is important for kindergarten students to register as soon as possible so they can receive their learning device and be eligible to receive no cost meals.

Children must be 5 years of age on or before July 31, 2020, to enter kindergarten this school year.

Elementary Device Pickup:
Elementary Device Pickup will occur at each elementary school campus in a curbside pickup manner.

Monday Aug 24th
9-11 a.m. (5th grade)
1-3 p.m. (4th grade)
Tuesday Aug 25th
9-11 a.m. (3rd grade)
1-3 p.m. (2nd grade)
Wednesday Aug 26th
9-11 a.m. (1st grade)
1-3 p.m. (Kindergarten)
Thursday Aug 27th
4-7 p.m. (makeup time)

Middle School Device Pickup:
Middle School Device pickup will occur at each middle school campus in a curbside pickup manner daily Monday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Aug. 28 during the following time slots: 8-11 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. IWC will follow Hoech's schedule and location.

High School Device Pickup:

“RHS families who have a working device for their RHS student (either a district issued Chromebook or personal laptop/tablet/Chromebook/desktop) should not come to the device rollout listed above. Please use your own device to start the school year. You will be given a new device at a later date.”

Families with multiple RHS students can choose one of the slots below to pick up devices for each of their RHS students who need a device.

Students who have not returned a district device will not be given a new one unless it is not working and they bring it in to exchange.

Tuesday, Aug. 25
Juniors: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
4-7 p.m. open to grades 9-12
Wednesday, Aug. 26
Sophomores: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 27
Freshmen: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
4-7 p.m. open to grades 9-12
Friday, Aug. 28
Makeup Day for Gr. 9-12
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Husky Academy students may pick their devices up at Ritenour High School during any scheduled pickup time.
