So the Coca-Cola custom hauler is completed! It was a kit gifted to me by a friend who was frustrated with it and wanted to see what I could do with it. It was all there but started so the original plan was to build a high mile rusty junker and be done with it but I decided to use the opportunity to stretch my custom and kit bashing skills. Thankfully over the years I have built a large spare parts collection. This may not be the best designed custom but that's not the point. It's about experimenting and trying new techniques as you go. No plan at all!

Box Art Spotlight! 🎨

AMT is bringing back the 1963 Pontiac LeMans Convertible, arriving this May!

The vintage-style box art features a painting from the portfolio of automotive illustrator Ted Naismith, with an overall design inspired by the iconic Pontiac advertising artwork of Art Fitzpatrick, whose legendary campaigns ran from 1959–1971.

This 3-in-1 kit hasn’t been released in stock form since the 1960s, when the original body tooling was converted into a funny car. After extensive retooling, the convertible body is finally back—ready for a new generation of builders and collectors.

Look for it in May 2026! 🔧🚗

Starting to see a light at the end of a long tunnel! Just some detail parts to install and we're done. This rebuilder just didn't want to live again! 🤣

Gonna have to take a break from 50s cars for a bit. Way too much chrome! 😎

Sometimes with rebuilders it can be difficult to align your body sections due to glue distorting mounting points or broken pieces during deconstruction! You may have to cheat a bit. I struggled to mount the cab so I proped it where it sat level then glued a piece of square tubing to the bed and the cab making it pretty sturdy. Once the bed is installed you'll never see it!

When I ran my own auto detailing service, I used to actually like applying graphics on vehicles! Same here, just a bit smaller.

I believe the 32 Ford rear fenders are the way to go! Just test fits here. Will start doing the custom fitting next.
