A new public sculpture is making its debut in St. Charles, Missouri. Meet Jean Baptiste Point DuSable. He is credited as the founder of Chicago but has a St. Charles chapter to his life story. He lived the last eight years of his life on Second and Decatur Street in a house that is no longer there. You can learn more about him at the St. Charles County Historical Society. Muny renovations taking shape in Forest Park. For more than a century the Muny in Forest Park has been America's largest and oldest outdoor musical theatre. They're going to lose some seats before the opening of the 2027 season, but are making some much needed renovations to the outdoor auditorium. It is harvest season for some Missouri wineries. There are 130 wineries in the Show Me State. This winery was crushing grapes that will be turned into an award winning table wine. There is a lot of work and patience and more work that goes into making a bottle of wine. Getting to see a little bit of that process was fascinating and might make me re-think a retirement idea of growing my own grapes to make wine. It's no small feat!
