Fennel Cooking Studio
Inspiring kitchen confidence and culinary community in St. Louis through cooking classes & events š³
šHAPPY PRIDE!!!š
Love, your fav q***r cooking class studio š
June means summer is officially here. Or at least as officially as it gets in St. Louis, where weāve been sweating through 80-degree days since May anyway.
To celebrate, weāre sharing one of our favorite warm-weather drinks: sweet pineapple, a little jalapeƱo heat, and an optional tequila floater if youāre feeling it.
This recipe comes from our Summer Happy Hour class (now sold out), but there are still plenty of June classes with a similar summer energy:
š Q***r Dinner Party, 6/3 (one spot left!)
āļø Elevated Entertaining: Summer Dinner Party, 6/9
š Teens in the Kitchen: Summertime Cooking, 5/14
š„ Cooking with Seasonal Vegetables: Summer Farmersā Market, 6/25
š„ La Gringa Italians: The Italian Grill, 6/25
š¹ Fennel X : Summer Entertaining, 6/28
Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking. šŗ
Today, let teach you how to make a quick, easy simple syrup out of things that might already be growing in your backyard. P.S: this makes a great Motherās Day gift!
Remember, weāre giving away gift bags to mom (or your fave mother figure in your life) when you sign them up for any Fennel class if you purchase by May 10th! Just leave us a note at checkout.
If you like what you see here, join April for her next class, The Art Of Brunch, happening Saturday, May 17th.

š² RSVP to the free potluck through the link in our bio. You can sign up before you know what youāll bring.
š Weāll reach out to you with a form to submit your potluck recipe (along with any fun notes/stories about the recipe and the source so we can credit it).

ITāS SOUP SEASON! Finally!
This weekās substack is all about soup. Itās a step-by-step guide I use for making every kind of soup without a recipe. If you want to make better soups without a recipe, check it out!
In the newsletter, I walk you through the steps with visuals, throw in a recipe for the pictured Spiced Butternut Squash & Red Lentil Soup (for those of you who like to follow a recipe), and include an info-packed PDF that you can hang on your fridge to help you make delicious soups out of any ingredients in your fridge. I hope you find it helpful! I had so much fun writing about soups for you.
This newsletter is for paid subscribers, but you can get a free trial if youāre not already a paid subscriber. Link in bio to check out my Substack!
