Just before their family of two became three I was privileged to spend evening with these two and capture these photos! Congratulations Nate and Morgan on your new little one!

Had a great shoot with Minus Plus and Tahoe Therapeutics the last couple days here in San Fransisco. It’s great to build up tools for growing companies doing next level work.

What a week! We wrapped up another amazing Blue Sky Summit in Park City. The creative leaders at Minus Plus and the biotech leaders at Recursion put together a masterful experience for the guests. Many of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry's leaders attended and shared in experiences, furthering their visions, and building the next generation of medical care.

On the Blue Sky Photo Team we had three photographers (Travis Pitcher of Minus Plus, Fly Productions, and Steve Olpin) covering the event in style. As well as myself in the editing chair. Over the four days we had ~18,000 photos come in. I had engineered a workflow to handle that volume and I processed and edited a finished 1,400-2,000 photos per day. As well as providing each guest with special selected photo prints as a memento of their time at the summit. These were long days, but it's always fulfilling when you have a good team on your side.

How have you grown?

Stepping in front of the camera is not always a natural thing but it helps us appreciate who we were as well as who we've become. In the last few years I've started my own video production and photography business (with now 15 years in that space), worked through a house fire and restoration, tried to grow as a husband, supported and taught each of our children as they grow, strived to stay in shape, and along with my beautiful wife welcomed our youngest son into our family....

And guess what? It's all been really HARD.... But it's also helped me grow, humbled me, and deepened my connection to my family. It's easy to forget just how much you've accomplished when you're in each moment. Especially the hard ones.

I still have a long way to go BUT... I'm working for something I believe in and heading in a direction I have hope in.

And so I felt it was time to take a rare step in front of the camera rather than behind it.
