Hi community! I am seeking donations for a zero waste engineering challenge or a pumpkin catapult for the 4H club I facilitate. Each youth and their families are engineering and constructing a catapult design to launch a small pumpkin to see which families catapult can launch the furthest! Please contact me if you know of a community member/farm interested in donating 10-20 small pumpkins (pie, Jack be littles ect) to the youth for their project. All pumpkin will be fed to pigs as a treat!l after we graph the distance it flew from the catapults. 🤓Thanks community!

Join me for an autumn morning on the homestead with coffee and festival crafting of a botanical mini broom and pumpkin! Link is bio for registration or reach out with questions.
I look forward to coffee and crafting with you! ☕️

🌻It’s sunflower harvest season! This was the largest head we grew this year 🤗🌻 This beauty will be used for seed saving, but most our sunflower seeds are harvested for the livestock and wild birds. The stalks are used for trellis or shredded for piggy bedding 🐷I’ll share my fun method of “phantom” planting which always leads to surprises of popup sunflowers the next growing season.

🍀Mark your calendars 🍀

Chicory 💙 hoping to propagate it through the meadow and pasture areas for the goats as it’s such a great forage for them and lover to many pollinators 🐐🐝🦋 maybe I could even cultivate enough for making coffee! ☕️
