Springtown High School Law and Public Service

Saturday, May 23, 3 students graduated from PCHD from EMT basic school. They have all 3 already passed their National Registry tests! So proud of them. This was no easy task, but they stayed focused and worked really hard to successfully complete it!

Our club kids’ accomplishments were recognized again, as they volunteered their time to help at the Tri-County Flag Football games Saturday, May 1, and received certificates for their advancements to state!

Did you see that they made Fox 4 News!?! SHS First Responders Club kids stepping up to volunteer in their community’s time of need made the news! Awesome story!

I’m so proud of these kids. Some members of the SHS First Responders Club plus a friend and a parent served today by cleaning up limbs and leaves for a couple of families that were hit by the storm last Saturday! This is what community and leadership are all about!

While the results weren’t where all of us wanted for all of our Springtown students at the TPSA state competition, we had a blast in Galveston! Congratulations to sophomore Sydney Arnold on her 1st place WIN in fingerprinting!!!

These students (and others) in the SHS First Responders Club have been practicing a lot and working hard getting ready for TPSA state competition. We leave Monday. There will be a live link for the closing ceremonies and awards Thursday. It starts at 9 am.

This year’s members of the SHS First Responders Club competed at the TPSA Regional Conference in early February. 11 out of 16 advanced to state in 1 or both of their events. The others made a great showing, but it’s a large region with tough competition. I will post a group picture later, but we had different members there on different days. We are very proud of these students!

Field trip to observe court at the Parker County District 43rd Court. Thank you so much to Parker County DA Swain and Judge Towson for allowing us to bring classes to come watch. It is such a good experience for our Law and Public Safety pathway students!
