Today we welcomed our Freshman English classes for a fun library orientation! Students explored what the library has to offer, discovered all the ways the library can be a part of their high school experience, checked out some books, and had time to simply enjoy the space. 🧡📖

🎙️🇪🇸 ¡Hablando español en la biblioteca!

Mrs. Lance’s Honors Spanish classes visited the SHS Library to practice their speaking skills using Padlet. Students recorded themselves speaking in Spanish and then listened to and watched their classmates’ videos. What a fun way to practice, learn from each other, and build confidence! 💬👏🇪🇸

🔬STEM in the SHS Library!🔬

Last week, Mrs. Adams Biology students brought science into the library as they explored the fascinating world of cells!🧑‍🔬Using microscopes, students examined cheek cells and onion cells, getting a firsthand look at structures they’ve been learning about in class—including the microscopic world where organelles like the mitochondria do their important work!! 🧬

The library is more than a place to read—it’s a place to explore, collaborate, and learn.
