Author of The Wounds You Didn’t Choose. I write for the ones learning to heal from what they never asked for. You’re not alone—and your story still matters.
Life isn’t always easy, but there is strength in surviving and beauty in becoming. Blessings. ❣️
One of the saddest things in life can be losing a longtime friend over a disagreement and never finding your way back to each other.
Time passes. Pride settles in. We think there will always be another chance.
And sometimes… there isn’t.
If someone once mattered deeply to you, don’t let hurt steal years that love built.
Not every friendship can be restored, but where there is room for grace, make it before time makes the choice for you.❣️RLO
Be proud of yourself for the quiet things no one else sees.
The self-control. The healing. The nights you kept going when your mind was tired.
Growth isn’t always loud or visible — sometimes it’s simply refusing to give up on yourself. ❣️RLO
Stop waiting until life is perfect to enjoy it.
Laugh more. Take the picture. Go for the drive. Sit in the sunshine a little longer.
Some of the best moments in life are the simple ones we almost rush past.
Let yourself truly live today. ❣️RLO
Sometimes the hardest truth to accept is that we’ve been settling for less than we deserve.
But awareness is where change begins.❣️RLO
Sometimes it’s not the big things that wear us down — it’s the constant carrying of everything for everyone else.
Check on the strong ones too.
Even the people who keep going get tired sometimes. ❣️RLO
Some struggles are silent.
No one sees them, no one hears them, but they’re there every day.
Just because you carry it quietly doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.
Give yourself credit for continuing to show up anyway.
It means you’re human and still trying.
And that quiet strength? It matters more than you think. You are not alone. ❣️RLO
It’s hard to forgive someone who has wronged you.
But forgiveness isn’t for them — it’s for you.
Holding onto anger only weighs your heart down.
Letting go doesn’t mean what happened was okay… it means you’re choosing your peace over the pain. ❣️RLO
One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through was losing my sibling.
It’s a kind of pain that doesn’t just go away — it stays with you in different ways.
Some days are heavier than others, and certain moments bring it all back.
But through it all, I’ve learned that love doesn’t end — it changes.
We carry them with us in our memories, in our hearts, and in the way we keep going.
If you’ve lost someone you love, just know you’re not alone in that pain. ❣️RLO
I had someone write this on my post about my Jealousy post,
“take yourself out if you’re going to be jealous of folks please nobody has time for that sh*t”
I immediately got angry because I want my site to be uplifting, not cause harm to others.
We all have stuff to deal with and it’s nice to have encouragement in this world. So here is my response instead:
Sometimes the people who speak the most negativity are the ones hurting the most.
Instead of matching that energy, choose to rise above it.
We all go through things, and a little understanding can go a long way.
Be the person who brings light, not more darkness.❣️RLO
Frustration builds when things don’t go the way we planned.
Instead of letting it take over, pause and give yourself a moment.
Not everything will go right — and that’s okay.
What matters is how you handle it and keep moving through it. ❣️RLO 🤍
Making mistakes is part of being human.
It doesn’t mean you’ve failed — it means you’re learning.
Take a breath, let the frustration pass, and give yourself a moment to reset.
You may or may not be able to fix it, but no matter what, grow from it, and keep moving forward. It all works out in the end. ❣️RLO
