We would like to give a massive thank you to State Senator Steve McClure! Senator McClure took time out of his busy schedule to serve as our keynote speaker for this year’s Model Illinois Government Opening Ceremony last Thursday. It was an amazing opportunity to hear about the behind-the-scenes work and effort that go into turning a piece of legislation from an idea into its final vote.

This year’s Model Illinois Government conference has come to an end after a beautiful morning in the Old State Capitol. Students had the opportunity to debate in both the House and Senate chambers, while the Moot Court finals were held in the Supreme Court chambers. Thank you to all the delegates, and we hope to see you again next year!
