I used to whine about the rain 🌧️ You see I am an outside person, barefoot in the dirt with the sun on my face is where I want to be. But 🍁FALL🍁 rain hits a little different. God’s reminder to slow my roll, make plans on the porch, sip sweet tea and RELAX.

That’s hard for us “doers” but try it you may find that this time is just as rewarding.

Now don’t mind me while I take a few slices of toast and jam to the porch. I got planning to do!!

I thought this was an amazing list and is a great way to put the month into perspective.

God created this time for humanity to reset. The hardwork of harvest is over, nature is preparing to rest, and “back in the olden days” humans would rest too.

Adding to this list for the Homestead will be: canning and preparing a winter stockpile for the kitchen, clearing garden beds to revitalize, overwintering crops, finishing the feed barn, spending evenings on the new porch with the family and most likely a we**ie roast or two. 🔥
