Feature race tonight at Fix-It Forward Speedway for Military and First Responder Night. Thanks for honoring people like my husband, myself, and so many of our family and friends tonight!

Heat race tonight for Military and First Responder Night at Fix-It Forward Speedway! Shaun even had two extra special fans cheering him on tonight, 2 of our grandkids, Cash and Iris.

Feature time! Lost his hood about lap two and was held up by a younger driver after the first caution that didn’t realize he had a shredded tire and kept squeezing Shaun and causing him to lose momentum and spots. Shaun went and talked to the young kid afterwards and the kid was sorry. He didn’t realize what he had done. I love that my husband takes time to go talk to especially younger or new racers and talk through what happened. I give kudos to the dad of the kid that just stood there and listened and let it be a teaching moment for his son.

Feature time. Didn’t turn out how we would have liked, but Shaun got out of his comfort zone and tried a few new things tonight and that is a big win in my book!
