It's that time of the month again! We'll be hosting another Community Makers Foundation Maker night tomorrow, September 11, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM at the Daventry Community Room (7721 Painted Daisy Dr, Springfield).

This month we're upcycling glass jar lids into keepsake magnets with decoupage paper, stickers, and a little bit of creativity.

We're also being joined by some special guests! The Greater Springfield Volunteer Fire Department. You’ll be able to check out an ambulance up close and personal and together we'll be building a beautiful flag display that will be gifted to their station afterward as a thank you for everything they do for our community!

Bring the kids, bring your parents, bring a friend, show up solo, and have fun getting creative and working with neighbors to make an impact and thank those who continue to serve our community 🚒🧯🔥

Make an impact from just cleaning out your closet!
The Second Life Drive is happening now: we’re looking for all art supplies, gently used clothing, shoes and home goods (sorry, no furniture!). What we can reuse becomes the next CMF project or take-home kit, and everything else turns into funding 💰for community art workshops and free art programs for kids at Title I schools and members of our partner nonprofits.
Drop off anytime in Springfield, and if you’re in Daventry, Request a pickup, link in bio. First pickup window: Labor Day weekend! Now through the 15th of November. Let’s keep those items out of the landfills, give your things a second life all while supporting art programing in your community, that’s what we call a win-win-win! ♻️

Our T-Shirt Shop is officially open, wearable art that funds everything we do, from free Maker Nights, to supplies, to upcoming workshops that support artists right in our community.
And our first-ever Local Artist T-Shirt Design Contest is live! This year’s theme is What Art Means to Me. 🎨 Submit your original design, and if it makes the community’s top 5, it gets produced and sold in our store. Sell the most, and it’ll earn a spot in our store permanently, plus a feature as a local artist and a paid guest teaching spot at a future Community Maker Workshop!

Big day for CMF! Two things just went live at once. 🥳

Our brand new T-Shirt Shop is open. Every design is wearable art, and every shirt sold puts money straight back into our free community programs, monthly Community Maker Nights, art supplies and new programs we're building out this year.

We’re grateful to 4imprint’s one by one® promotional products $500 grant.  With these funds Community Makers Foundation will be able to get a brand new branded 10-foot event tent.
Showing up for community art often means showing up rain or shine, in parking lots, parks, and public spaces, wherever our community needs us to be! This tent means our team will have real shelter and visibility no matter where we set up next.

We're honoring the first responders in our own community by welcoming the Greater Springfield Volunteer Fire Department as our special guests. They'll be bringing an ambulance for everyone to check out up close, a highlight for our younger makers and the young at heart alike.

Our community project that night is a big one too. 👨‍🎨 We're building a waving American flag together, made entirely from recycled materials, and donating the finished piece to the fire department as a thank you for everything they do for us.

For your take-home craft, you'll be making your own upcycled magnets, perfect for the fridge or a locker.
