Missouri Labor 03/19/2020

PUBLIC SERVICE
ANNOUNCEMENT
If you’re a business owner in Missouri and you will be reducing your employees hours from 40 hours a week down to 24-32 hours due to lack of work, Missouri has the SHARED WORK PROGRAM. https://labor.mo.gov/shared-work
It only takes about 20 minutes to fill out an application and your employees can supplement their hours through unemployment benefits as well as working for you. Please share this with others as we all need to come together to get through these times of uncertainty!

Missouri Labor Take the assessment to see if your workers should be classified as employees or independent contractors. Misclassifying workers is wrong and against the law.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Please be careful if you are using space heaters in your home! I’ve gotten several service calls for problems caused by these. They use a lot of power to run one. They really should be on an outlet dedicated to the heater themselves and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE an extension cord to run one. If you smell anything odd, or see a darkening of the outlet....please call an electrician!
