✨Feature Friday✨

We had the privilege of fabricating Ramona Tacos & Mezcal's bar front & decorative block wall. The artist behind this project is our very own Heriberto, aka Eddy! He truly is a master of his craft. More details below⬇️

The bar front was constructed using bendable plywood with kerf cuts & wood veneer onlays. The decorative onlays create a three-dimensional effect, while the mix of wood tones adds depth & contrast. Multiple wood species were used, including walnut, cherry, white maple, & white oak.

The block wall was crafted from clear-finished cedar, cut to varying depths to create a textured appearance. These wood blocks were glued onto a black-painted backing board, which was then mounted to the wall—eliminating the need to apply each piece individually.

This is essential for tasks like shelf pin hole drilling, hinge cup boring, dowel hole alignment, and joinery. Having both capabilities in one machine increases versatility, reduces setup time, and improves consistency across parts—crucial for maintaining quality and speed in custom cabinetry.
