Sometimes in life, you’re lucky enough to be part of something big, something that touches your very soul, something that can possibly help someone else to not have to endure what you had to as a child. As a survivor of childhood sexual assault at the hands of my step-grandfather, I have spent my life as a graphic/web designer helping non-profit organizations that deal with violence against women and children. It was my honor when Jetta Bernier at MassKids called me to design a 100+ page report that will be given to legislators in all 50 states and the District of Columbia to help them craft legislation and policy to prevent childhood sexual assault in schools.
Tonight, on Boston Channel 5, they did a story on this document and the status of legislation in Massachusetts. Yes, I designed MassKids.org, too!
