Over the last year, I’ve been building something I believe our industry has needed for a very long time.

Everybody knows what Carfax is.

You can pull the history of a vehicle and see accidents, repairs, maintenance records, and ownership history.

But somehow, the biggest purchase most people ever make still doesn’t have a permanent record.

That’s why we built Swipe Home.

A platform where homeowners can create a permanent property history containing inspection reports, maintenance records, repairs, upgrades, contractor work, photos, documents, and more.

Think about that for a second.

A roof replacement shouldn’t disappear when the homeowner moves.

An HVAC installation shouldn’t be forgotten five years later.

A major plumbing repair shouldn’t live in a random file cabinet until it’s thrown away.

The history of a home should stay with the home.

That’s exactly what we’re building.

And contractors are a huge part of that vision.

Every repair completed.
Every project documented.
Every improvement made.

It all helps tell the story of that property.

We’re actively onboarding contractors throughout Sangamon County and within roughly 75 miles of Springfield.

🚨 Central Illinois Contractors — I need your help.

With severe weather moving through, homeowners are going to need roofers, tree crews, restoration companies, electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, GCs, and cleanup crews fast.

And we all know what usually happens after storms:

Out-of-town storm chasers show up, knock doors, pressure people, take deposits, and leave local families trying to figure out who they can actually trust.

I’m trying to build a better response before that happens.

Through Swipe Home, we’re organizing a local contractor response list for Storm Surge, our emergency repair routing system built to connect homeowners with available, qualified contractors after weather damage.

This is not a lead-selling scheme.

This is not “pay us and maybe get calls.”

This is about identifying real local contractors who can actually respond when people need help.

I’m looking for:

Roofers
Tree removal crews
Water mitigation/restoration
General contractors
Electricians
Plumbers
HVAC
Window/door repair
Fence repair
Debris cleanup
Handymen who can handle urgent temporary repairs

Veteran-owned businesses, local crews, and contractors with proof of insurance will be prioritized.

Big step this week.

Swipe Home Property Group is officially licensed in Illinois.

Still finishing a few things on the backend (MLS, board setup, etc)…
but this is the point where it goes from idea → real.

At the same time…

we’ve started submitting bids for government contracts
working through SDVOSB
and continuing to build Swipe Home every day

Everything is starting to connect.

The whole goal here is simple:

make real estate make more sense

less guessing
more structure

Not rushing this part. Doing it right.
