Humans and pets be very cautious! Test the pavement with the back of your hand and if it’s too hot for you, it is DEFINITELY too hot for your dogs feet! Stay hydrated everyone! If your dog absolutely needs to get some energy out, check out my available run times on my website 🥵🏃‍♀️💨

⚠️Extreme Heat Warning today and Monday. The heat index is expected to climb to 110 and higher for almost all of Missouri this afternoon and again on Monday afternoon.
✅Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
✅Drink plenty of water, sports drinks, or natural fruit juices to stay hydrated.
✅Avoid alcohol and beverages that contain caffeine as these tend to be dehydrating.
✅If outdoor activity is unavoidable, take plenty of breaks in the shade, or in an air conditioned environment away from the heat.

Fourth of July is just around the corner and for a lot of pets, it's the most stressful night of the year. 🎆

Fireworks are one of the leading causes of lost pets in the U.S., with shelters reporting a spike in runaways every July 4 and 5. Even the calmest dogs and cats can panic when unexpected explosions hit.

The good news: a little prep goes a long way. Start by keeping pets indoors during displays and making sure ID tags and microchip information are current.
