The Creepatorium

Some pics from the haunt this year. It was a rough year for us , opened a half an hour late, stuff was very last minute, but overall, it happened.

Hey to our followers, it seems there must be a burlesque venue somewhere out that that shares our name because we keep getting tagged in burlesque show announcements. Now, I have nothing against burlesque, but we remain a small home haunt and have no intention of starting to host these types of shows. Our barn makes a good haunted house, but not a very good performance stage.

This year, I wanted to take some pics of our tombstones, because they deserve love. Well, maybe not so much the store-bought generic "rest in pieces" ones (they are fine, but they are just there to fill space). The real stars are just the old AF wood slabs with simple carvings. Now, I love seeing people's fancy hand crafted original tombstones, but there is beauty in simplicity. I didn't make these (someone did ... they were given to me years ago, and I think the person who gave them to me got them in a lot at an auction or something, so I don't think he made them either), and they are simple, but every year they get a little more weather worn and beaten, and I just love how old and authentic they look.

Well, well, well... My dear ghoulies...

So, it's Halloween. 2021, or so they tell me, the years lose so much meaning whilst you decompose.

It seems like I've been absent for a bite, err bit, but as the winds shift and the veil shadowing us from the abyssal nocturne allows us a peek beyond, we will be here in the flesh... whatever is left of it.

We are busily dusting our skulls and tossing bits and bobbles around - but rest (in peace) assured that we intend to make up for that year... last year... when we couldn't dance macabre for you little goblins.

So, gather your guts, wherever those might be.

Come to the Creepatorium, or dare I say the Cryptorium, and help us set some souls to rest.

The spooks are gathering for the big night

The Creepatorium would like to thank Clever Cow Designs for remaking our iconic Halloween sign as a banner. They slicked it up a bit, but I think it stays true to the spirit of the original (which finally met it's end after several years of loyal service).
