We’ve been in heaven over here for the last month with our sweet boy. May will forever be the month our lives changed forever, the month we became mom & dad and fell more in love. What a month it’s been. Full of joy, hard, tears, laughs, and lots of sleepless nights. We are so thankful.

I truly had the home birth I prayed for and dreamed of. I replay it often in my mind and can’t believe how fast it went, that it’s already been a month, and that I truly received the desires of my heart. It was unbelievably beautiful, hard and the most holy thing I’ve ever experienced. I thank God for this all the time & probably will forever.

I’ll be off and on social media during the summer. I’m going to be snuggling my baby and learning to be a mom and soak in these newborn days with my son.

It’s my favorite persons birthday today!! Happy birthday, babe. I could say a million things here about how wonderful he is, but I saved all of that for his birthday card. I’ll just say— he’s a rare find, my treasure from Heaven, and the most incredible man I know. Thank you, Jesus he’s mine. Here’s to many more April 3rds to celebrate you!!

Today we had an us day, doing whatever Christian wanted to do. And we’ve decided we don’t work on birthdays, so it’s been a good one! Swipe to the end to see my very round belly from this afternoon. It’s also baby month & he becomes a dad in just a few weeks & wow I can’t wait to see him in that role. It’s been a great day & we’re believing for an even greater year!

I adore the way these photos feel. The most romantic valentines feeling wedding ever. The vintage car, the red bouquet, the heart shaped confetti, the rain, and the winter day… you can feel the love in the air. Forever swooning over Katelynn & Josh’s love filled wedding day. ❤️

I’m finishing up this wedding this week & that will wrap up all of my weddings until after baby. How is that real? I’m moving into nesting & getting my home ready to have a baby in the coming weeks. I’ll still be showing my weddings here and there too! I have so many stunning couples I can’t wait to showcase.

I’ve been reflecting on turning 30 last week—

It’s still wild to believe I’ve entered a new decade. I know turning 30 can come with a mix of emotions for some, but wow I’m beyond excited to be here.

I feel so much joy about where I’m at in life, the growth that’s taken place, the healing, the career I’ve made for myself, the beautiful marriage we’re cultivating & now adding a baby to it all. The decade motherhood begins. It feels like I’ve been waiting for it my whole life. It’s all evidence of the grace and love of the Lord over me. I’m filled with so much joy turning 30.

I’ll sing to the Lord because He has been good to me. Psalm 13:6 This verse comes to mind when I think about where God has brought me from and where he’s taking me. He’s a good & gracious God and I’m so thankful to be thirty, flirty & thriving. Thank you, Jesus!

I’m still so shook that I’m even typing this, posting this, and the fact that we took these photos this week. Ive dreamed about being a mom my whole life & now that it’s here, it feels so surreal.

What moves me the most is that I get to be parents to a tiny human with this guy. The man of my dreams, my best friend & my favorite person on this earth. This next season will be my favorite without a doubt.

Hattie J turns 1 this weekend!!

This family session for her first birthday was so special, tender, celebratory, and just good. It was a rainy day, but it wouldn’t be a session with the Millers without some overcast moody skies.

I documented their maternity last summer, her newborn days last fall, and now her first birthday. What an honor!!

I just recently delivered this wedding and wow, it was such a good one!!!

All of this color made for a beautiful, bright June wedding. Nick & Ashley were so easy to celebrate.

My favorite moment from their wedding was the slowness of their first touch before the ceremony. They exchanged gifts, they chatted, and it was so beautiful to see them connect and watch so much peace wash over them as they were in each other’s presence.

It’s quite literally my job to make sure you have stunning photos you’ll love forever. If rain is not invited to your wedding day & it shows up anyway… trust me to work magic with those rain drops while also keeping your priorities at the top of the list.

The way they are holding their vows while staying dry with pretty umbrellas I keep with me always, the way that this tells the exact story of what their wedding day truly looked like and felt like is everything to me. Do you know what today is?

It’s a favorite day in the Wilkins home. It’s the anniversary of our second first date.

If you know our story, well then you know. These two first dates as we like to call them took place 10 years apart from each other & we remember them both so so well. The best part is the second one is when our story really began and our love started to grow. It’s my favorite one out of the two.

I remember exactly how I felt, the car we were in, the music that was playing, a lot of things that were said, what I was wearing, I remember there was no one on lake expect us. I remember how we froze in time for hours. I remember the fact that I couldn’t sleep that night because I knew I was going to marry him. It was a day we’ll both never forget for the rest of our days.

That day was magical, it was a dream and one I wish so badly I could relive.
Every July 31st makes my heart skip a beat every single year.

So. Happy July 31st to us. :)

P.s. I have to add– the fact that we’ve been apart for over a week and the day we get to have a slow morning and spend time together just happened to be July 31st. God is so cool like that.

Bailey & Nick’s beautiful October wedding— This day was pure magic. The foliage was perfect & this couple was a dream to photograph. October is my absolute favorite month to shoot in (it’s my fav month in general).

It was my first time doing a session like this and I loved every minute of it.

Andy & Sav love riding one wheels as part of a ministry that we all serve in together so they really wanted to incorporate that in their session! And then we ended the night at their favorite spot for date night 🤍
