After an incredible journey in architecture and design, our very own Pat Pierce is officially retiring this month. This week, the Hood-Rich team gathered to celebrate Pat’s legacy, her professional achievements, and the profound impact she has had on our firm as a Registered Architect.
Pat has been a cornerstone of our office culture, serving as a constant model of kindness and a “can-do” spirit. Whether navigating a complex project or mentoring team members, she approached every challenge with a grace and expertise that inspired us all. Beyond the studio, we are especially grateful to Pat and her husband, Joe, for their years of hospitality in hosting our annual Lake Day, a tradition that truly reflects her generous heart.
Pat, you will be missed tremendously. We are so grateful for your years of dedication to Hood-Rich Architecture and the community. While we will miss your presence in the office, we are thrilled for you to begin this next chapter. Please join us in wishing Pat a very happy and well-deserved retirement!

Last week, our team at Hood-Rich Architecture had the privilege of volunteering with Convoy of Hope! We had a great time packing disaster relief buckets that will be sent to communities in need. It was inspiring to see the heart and dedication of the Convoy team firsthand, and to get a behind-the-scenes tour of their incredible headquarters here in Springfield.

A special congratulations to our friends at Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective for their outstanding work designing such a functional and beautiful facility. It’s a space that truly supports Convoy’s mission of compassion and service around the globe.

We left encouraged, humbled, and grateful to be part of a community that makes a difference!
