QUIET ANGELS is a TRUE story about my husband Rick's Near Death Experience and years of recovery that is humorous, inspirational, motivational and uplifting. He gained knowledge in Spirituality, Humility, Forgiveness, Patience and Understanding that he never would have otherwise. When he had a very severe base-of-the-brain-stroke a large portion of his brain died. As such he has trouble with conce

ntration, staying focused, word association, and conveying his thoughts. We can't afford a professional writer and an expensive publishing company. So, I agreed to write and publish this book for him. I am not an experienced author. My emphasis is not on punctuation, writing skills or number of pages; but on content! As such this will not be the best written book that you will ever read. But could be one of the MOST IMPORTANT! After years of living with Rick and witnessing his amazing transformation, I know that he truly believes that God wants him to do this. That said, Rick has something that he'd like to say. "Somewhere around ten years after my stroke, the dust settled and I had adjusted to my new life when I met a man that also had a severe stroke leaving him much worse off than myself. We were discussing our plight when he said things to me like "Do you know how lucky you are? Would you appreciate life the way that you do now? Think about what you've learned! You need to share this insight to help others". I realized that we judge life by the angle from which we look. I never thought about it that way before! I was so worried about myself that it never occurred to me that maybe I could help others. I began to look at my life from a different perspective. I immediately thought back to what a preacher had said that, "God wants me to tell my story to everyone willing to listen". And when the nurses and therapists kept telling me that God must really love me, is not through with me yet and has a plan for me". It was then that I was inspired to ask my wife write this book.
