πŸšπŸ‘ Help us welcome Jake to the Saints Flight family!

Jake has successfully completed his third seat orientation and has officially been released to our base to begin the next phase of his journey as he works through second seat orientation.

Before joining Saints Flight, Jake built an impressive foundation with 5 years of 911 EMS experience and 2.5 years as a CVICU nurse. His dedication to patient care, critical thinking, and teamwork make him a great addition to our crew.

We're excited to watch him continue to grow, learn, and serve the communities that depend on us every day.

Drop a πŸ‘‹, 🚁, or welcome message for Jake in the comments and help us make him feel at home!

Welcome aboard, Dr. Jayne! πŸŽ‰

Over the next month, Dr. Jayne, an emergency medicine resident physician, will be riding with Saints Flight as part of a prehospital medicine elective. With a passion for EMS and a goal of becoming an EMS physician, he’ll be gaining hands-on experience in the unique challenges and opportunities of critical care transport and prehospital medicine.

We’re excited to share our world of air medical transport with him and help support the next generation of EMS medical directors and prehospital medicine leaders.

Last night, Saints Flight had the opportunity to partner with Forman Ambulance for a landing zone class. 🚁

Participants learned the fundamentals of landing zone operations, scene safety, and how to help ensure a safe environment for air medical crews and patients. Students also had the opportunity to tour the aircraft and learn more about the capabilities of our team.

Thank you to Forman Ambulance for the invitation and for your commitment to continuing education and patient care. We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside dedicated EMS professionals who help serve our communities every day.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we're reminded that the work we do in emergency medical services demands not only physical strength but emotional resilience. The calls we respond to, the lives we touch, the moments we witness β€” they stay with us. That's why we're committed to supporting our teammates through SIREN, our peer-to-peer mental health network. SIREN connects our crew members with trained peers who truly understand what it means to serve on the front lines. Because sometimes, the most powerful support comes from someone who's been there too. To every EMS professional out there: your mental health matters. You are not alone. We're here for each other, today and always.

Today, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the profound responsibility we carry in our own mission. To the fallen heroes and their families, we are forever grateful.

As we close out EMS Week, we're celebrating the unsung heroes who keep us mission-ready and safe – our aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). They're a humble group who work behind the scenes, but their impact is felt on every mission. From routine maintenance to critical repairs, our AMTs ensure that when the call comes in, our aircraft are ready to respond. Their skill, dedication, and attention to detail make all the difference. Please help us give a big shout-out to our amazing maintenance team! πŸ› οΈπŸš

Today, Saints Flight had the opportunity to join Atwood Fire Protection Dist., Atwood Police Department, Kirby Medical Center, and Piatt County Sheriff's Office for a Touch-A-Truck event with the Atwood Elementary School 2nd grade students. πŸš’ πŸš‘ πŸš“ 🚁

Students got to experience a variety of demonstrations from local first responders and learn more about what we do β€” including the chance to sit inside the helicopter!

We had a blast spending the afternoon with everyone and are incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and bravery these agencies demonstrate every single day. Thank you for inviting us and allowing us to be part of such a fun event for the community. πŸ’™
