Happy birthday to my pops, "The Soul Machine" Norman Jackson.

I think of you and miss you every single day. Thank you for everything you taught me and for all the memories.

I know, like me, so many miss you. You brought so much flavor and joy to our lives.

I often think that I should carry on... And keep your legacy going by starting my own band and playing the Blues we love so much.

But it has been so hard to play with the heaviness in my heart.

But you taught me "good things come to they who wait".

I did a fun spot for the fine folks over at Pruett's Pool and Spa Service earlier this year. Had a great time shooting this commercial for a great company!

This one's my all-time favorite. It's another in the series of commercials I did for Springfield-Branson National Airport

But on this one, I got Norman and the whole band in on the action.

So, for those who know, I've had the opportunity to film commercials over the years, but I've never shared them.

Missing The Soul Machine...

As many of you know, yesterday was my dad's birthday. I had hoped to post this then, but I had too many emotions and needed a bit of composure before putting my thoughts together.

I was blessed to spend the majority of my life with Norman... And I am blessed that he is still with me every day. It's the love that we share that keeps us alive long after our souls depart to the other side... And dad left a lot of love inside of me.

I hope you all know that I miss you as well. I miss your faces, the conversations, the guys in the band, and the opportunity to make music for you that helped you, "Get Your Happy On!".

Thank you all for your support and for the opportunity to make music with my pops, for all of you.

I don't know what tomorrow brings, but I know the Soul Machine will be there alongside me, no matter where that may be.

I miss you dad ... So much more than my words could ever say.

One of the greatest pleasures of life is playing music with your friends. Looking forward to reuniting with Federico Samuel and Danny Williams, fellow Norman Jackson Band family members to team up with Halle in a few weeks.
